7th Annual Overtures Musical Theatre Institute
Showcase: Friday, July 2, at 8 PM in the MAX Theatre

In 2003, Eric Schaeffer realized his dream of initiating a professional training program for aspiring musical theater performers. Beginning June 20, the Overtures: Musical Theatre Institute will welcome its 7th class of talented participants.

The intensive two-week program offers a variety of classes in voice, dance, and acting as well as individualized one-on-one sessions with instructors, and Master Classes with Tony Award® recipients and Broadway professionals. Overtures culminates with a free public showcase performance to be held on Friday, July 2, at 8pm in Signature's MAX Theatre, followed by a reception to meet and congratulate the talented students.

No reservations are required. However, be sure to come early to ensure a seat for this dynamite entertainment. It is great fun and a spectacular way to begin your Fourth of July festivities.

The first (2003) Overtures Showcase was held at the Kennedy Center. Look closely and maybe you can pick out [title of show] director Matthew Gardiner and James Gardiner, currently performing in [title of show]!
